THE OPERA BOYS A Night at The Musical

After a SOLD OUT show in 2023 The Opera Boys are back with A Night at the Musicals, a fabulous evening of power-house vocals, immaculate 4-part harmony, breath-taking musical medleys, stunning solo performances… and a few surprises!

Whether you’re a fan of modern day smash hit musicals like Mamma Mia, Hairspray and Jersey Boys, prefer the classics from the likes of Gershwin and Rodgers & Hammerstein, or adore the definitive masterpieces like Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story, this show has something for everyone and is perfect for musical theatre lovers both young and old.

With beautiful vocal arrangements, spectacular close part harmony and a great line in humour, The Opera Boys have been delighting audiences all over the world with their unique show combining beautiful, powerful and emotional music with funny, engaging and light-hearted entertainment.

The boys trained at some of the UK’s finest schools including The Royal Academy of Music, and have each become highly successful performers in their own right. Between them they have performed lead roles on London’s West End and on Broadway in New York. They have performed as backing vocalists to some of the world’s biggest superstars including Russell Watson, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and Elton John, and in 2015 one of the boys appeared as part of the Belgian entry for The Eurovision Song Contest, performing to a global audience of 200 million, and placing a very respectable 4th in the competition!

Together the boys have performed in theatres and concert halls throughout the UK and have travelled all over the world performing their show. In 2018 they performed as soloists with The National Symphony Orchestra. They have been invited to perform at a number of prestigious events including the 10th Anniversary of the world’s most famous cruise ship, Cunard’s superliner Queen Mary 2, and the inaugural voyage of P&O’s largest cruise ship Britannia, launched by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

DS:UK comes full circle and return in 2024 with their highly anticipated “Alchemical Tour” - their tribute to the Dire Straits infamous live “Alchemy” album, which was released as the first live album recorded during the final nights of the 1982 - 1983 - Love over gold Tour.

Since starting to tour in 2018, “DS:UK… in tribute to Dire Straits” have become the quintessential tribute to one of the worlds most loved bands due to their obvious affection for Mark Knopfler’s music and attention to detail that fans truly appreciate.

The Searchers & Hollies Experience -`The Best of Both Worlds` brings to the stage the iconic magical hits of two of the biggest bands in the 60s and 70s era and features an incredible back catalogue of over 30 hit songs. The FOD Band`s qualities were recognised by Tony Jackson, The original lead singer of The Searchers, who selected them to be The Tony Jackson Group and to back him on his Tony Jackson sings The Searchers Shows. One of the biggest highlights of those days was when the guys backed Tony in front of 80,000 people who filled the street in front of a big stage erected just beside Mathew Street where the Cavern Club in Liverpool stands and where The Searchers and The Hollies appeared early in their musical careers.

Aled Jones – Full Circle

Prepare to hear Aled Jones as you’ve never heard him before. He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice. Selling over seven million albums, Aled was the original, classical crossover star. His recording of Walking in the Air, from the animated film The Snowman, firmly established him as a household name and he has become an integral part of the nation's festivities. Equally at home on the classical stage, or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, his credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.  

As a singer, Aled is in demand globally and has performed in the world's most iconic venues, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to the Sydney Opera House. A favourite with the Royal Family, he even gave a private performance to King Charles III in Kensington Palace. “Celebrating George Michael” is a new show for 2022. Featuring the acclaimed Steve Mitchell, this production focuses on a more mature and seasoned style that George brought us with performances such as the 1996 “MTV UNPLUGGED” from the Three Mills studio in London.

As well as all of George’s best and well-known hits, Steve and his hand-picked band also perform some of Wham classics making it a very special show for all George Michael fans.

We’re also pleased to announce that Dave West who played bass with George and Andrew on the very first recordings of Wham Rap and Careless Whisper, will also be joining Steve and the band on the dates.
