BRAVE NEW WORLD: THE EXPRESSIONIST ART of a WEIMAR, BERLIN

In the 1920s, the Weimar republic entered a golden age of political stability and cultural advancement. Berlin was both the political and cultural capital of this new society. hosting social reformers and artistic visionaries.  German Expressionism  which began before World War I continued to develop and adapt.  It was a time of liberalism and hope before Hitler’s rise to power in 1933.
