The Radlett Centre COVID-19 Safety Measures & Procedures

In anticipation of reopening The Radlett Centre Theatre to the public, our team has been redesigning our theatre layout, operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure we create the safest environment possible for our customers and staff.

We are closely adhering to the most up to date standards for safety & hygiene as set forth in the government’s official Covid-19 guidance for the Performing Arts Sector.

Listed below are some of the measures we have put in place to ensure your safety as well as some new requirements that are in place to help us do that.

  • NHS Track & Trace
    All customers are required to check-in via the NHS track and trace app which can be completed upon entry to the building via the QR code supplied or by filling out provided contact forms. This data will be kept for 21 days in line with government guidelines and will not be used for any other purposes.

  • Meet & Greet + Temperature Checks
    Our Front of House staff will meet you as you enter the foyer and check tickets and household group/support bubbles.

    Temperature checks for each customer will be conducted using a contactless thermometer. Readings of 37.8C or higher will require a re-test 10 mins later. A second reading of 37.8C or higher will mean that everyone in that party will not be permitted entry.  In such circumstances the face value of your tickets will be held under your account to be used against future shows.

  • Mask Policy
    All customers are required to wear appropriate face coverings at all times while within the building.
    Children under the age of 11 are not required to wear face coverings as per government guidance.
    If you are exempt from wearing a mask for medical reasons please inform our front of house team.
    Masks may be briefly removed only while consuming drinks and snacks pre-ordered through Teatro.

  • Social Distancing Policy
    Social distancing will be required at all times while within the building.
    Tickets are only available in fixed groups of 2,3,4 & 6.
    Each group may only consist of a single household or support bubble.
    Each group is distanced by 2m+ from all other groups.
    A one-way system for entering and exiting the auditorium has been established.
    We ask all customers queuing outside of the building to maintain 2m+ distance between groups.
    Where necessary certain facilities such as hand dryers and urinals have been restricted to aid in social distancing.

  • Hygiene Policy
    All customers will be required to sanitize their hands with supplied Covid-approved 70% alcohol content hand gel upon entering and exiting the building as well as before and after using the bathrooms.
    All surfaces within the building, including all tables and chairs, will be disinfected before and after each performance.

  • Foyer
    The foyer will not be open as a waiting area for customers before or after show.
    Customers will be taken straight to their seats and required to stay there except for when using the bathrooms or in cases of emergency.

  • Bar – Teatro
    Teatro will not be operating their bar before, during or after performances.
    All drinks and bar snacks need to be pre-ordered. This can be done by visiting Teatro website where you will find the Theatre Bar Menu.  Ordering can be placed via the website or please call 07949 711809 and Teatro staff will be happy to assist you. Your purchases will be delivered to your seats.

  • Signage
    New signage detailing the above policies has been placed around the building to ensure that all requirements and guidance is clear and easy to follow.

  • Cloakroom & Buggies
    The cloakroom will be closed so all belongings will need to stay with each customer inside the auditorium.
    It is strongly advised not to bring buggies, push chairs, car seats etc. as these are not allowed inside the auditorium.

  • If you are feeling unwell
    For the safety of our staff and other patrons, if you believe you have experienced symptoms of the virus, or been in close proximity with someone who has, within 2 weeks of your planned visit to the Radlett Centre please stay at home according to government guidelines and contact us by email.  If you feel unwell on the day of the performance then please advise us by email by midday.  In such circumstances the face value of your tickets will be held on your account at The Radlett Centre to use towards a future show.  If you have arrived in England within 14 days and are not covered by exemption rules relating to self-isolation or have been instructed to self-isolate then please do not attend.

  • If a Performance is cancelled
    The Radlett Centre will contact customers if a performance is cancelled.  If time is limited then we may also use social media and our website to communicate so please do check before setting out.

  • Failure to adhere to Radlett Centre policies
    In order to ensure the safety of all customers and staff The Radlett Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who refuses to adhere to our safety policies. This includes asking customers who have already entered the building to leave if our staff feel they are putting others at risk.

We appreciate that this will be a different experience from your usual visits to The Radlett Centre but we sincerely hope we can make your experience just as enjoyable. Your safety is our upmost priority and we will continue to review all of our policies to keep them in line with the latest government guidance.
