The Radlett Centre COVID-19 Safety Measures & Procedures
Updated: 16th September 2021
We welcome you back and to our full programme of shows with full capacity audiences.
The Radlett Centre supports the expectation and recommendation of wearing face coverings in crowded areas and therefore strongly encourages their continued use inside the theatre. We will continue to provide hand sanitiser which our customers are encouraged to use. Please help us keep our staff, each other and our community safe. Thank you.
The Radlett Centre Theatre will continue to monitor its operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure we create the safest environment possible for our customers and staff.
We are closely adhering to the most up to date standards for safety & hygiene as set forth in the government’s official Covid-19 guidance for the Performing Arts Sector.
Listed below are some of the measures in place to ensure your safety as well as some new requirements that are in place to help us do that.
NHS Track & Trace
The NHS track and trace app can be completed upon entry to the building via the QR code supplied or by filling in the required contact forms (available at Box Office and foyer). This data will be kept for 21 days in line with the government guidelines and will not be used for any other purposes.
Meet & Greet + Temperature Checks
Our Front of House staff will meet you as you enter the foyer. Temperature checks for each customer may be conducted using a contactless thermometer. Readings of 37.8C or higher will require a re-test 10 mins later. A second reading of 37.8C or higher will mean that you will not be permitted entry.
Whilst accepting that this is now a matter of personal preference, The Radlett Centre states that it strongly supports the “expectation and recommendation” of wearing face coverings in crowded areas. Therefore, we strongly encourage the continued use of face coverings inside the theatre and crowded foyer bar. Please help us protect our staff, each other and our community.
Social Distancing Policy
We continue to encourage customers to maintain a sensible social distance wherever possible. Signage will be in place to act as a reminder to everyone.
We ask that all customers sanitize their hands with supplied Covid-approved 70% alcohol content hand gel upon entering and exiting the building as well as before and after using the bathrooms. We will continue to maintain regular cleaning regimes, using Covid approved products for disinfecting, in line with government guidelines.
The foyer will re-open as a bar and waiting area. We encourage the wearing for face coverings in crowded areas as well as maintaining a sensible social distance wherever possible.
Bar – Teatro
Teatro will return to normal bar operation before a show and during any interval.
New signage encouraging the wearing face coverings in crowded areas and maintaining social distancing has been placed around the building to ensure that all guidance is clear and easy to follow.
Cloakroom & Buggies
The cloakroom will be re-open for storage of buggies, push chairs, car seats etc (which are not permitted in the auditorium) and any personal items such as coats and umbrellas. However, items are left at the owner’s risk as the Radlett Centre does not take responsibility for items which are left in the cloakroom area.
If you are feeling unwell
For the safety of our staff and other patrons, if you are feeling unwell, believe you have experienced symptoms of the virus or been in close proximity with someone who has, within 2 weeks of your planned visit to the Radlett Centre please stay at home according to government guidelines. If you have been instructed to self-isolate then please do not attend.
If a Performance is Cancelled
The Radlett Centre will contact customers if a performance is cancelled. If time is limited then we may also use social media and our website to communicate so please do check before setting out.
Failure to adhere to Radlett Centre policies
In order to ensure the safety of all customers and staff The Radlett Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who refuses to adhere to our safety policies. This includes asking customers who have already entered the building to leave if our staff feel they are putting others at risk.
