AN AUDIENCE WITH GENERAL SIR MIKE JACKSON
General Sir Mike Jackson's illustrious career in the British Army has spanned
almost 45 years during which time he has served in regions from the Arctic to
the jungle. He is perhaps best known for his role leading K–FOR to end ethnic
cleansing in Kosovo, for assembling the British ground component of the coalition
that toppled the Taliban and for re–organising the British army with aplomb.
Known for his tough–talking and uncompromising style, his recently published
autobiography Soldier exhibits all the qualities for which the General is
admired; his professionalism, his honesty, his directness, his exuberance and
his sense of humour. Most of all, it gives a vivid sense of what modern
soldiering entails. Join him for an unmissable evening when he will talk,
and take questions from the audience, about his remarkable life and career.
