This month, Bricket Wood Art Club’s
exhibition in the Ground Floor Gallery
features work by local artists in a variety of medium and
subjects. In the Apthorp Gallery, Eamon Kerrisk
presents Variety is the Spice of Life, a selection of paintings
of different countries in oil on canvas.

20TH CENTURY CATHEDRALS & THEIR ARTWOK
Lecture by Andrew Davies

The great Gothic cathedrals were once described by poet
WH Auden as ‘luxury liners laden with souls’.
The 20th Century responded with some fine and very different
answers: Coventry, Westminster, Guildford, the two cathedrals
in Liverpool. We will be looking at the art work of john
Piper, Graham Sutherland, Jacob Epstein etc.
