Dutch Swing College Band
Celebrating its 67th Anniversary!
The world’s longest established active jazz band guarantees a distinctive and exciting show from seven of the world’s finest traditional jazz musicians. Two years before the liberation of The Netherlands, the ‘Swing College’ started with furtive rehearsals in the cellars of Amsterdam, and the Dutch Swing College Band was officially launched on Liberation Day, 5th May 1945. Since then the band regularly visits all five continents, including rare but popular visits to the UK. Over the years the musicians have changed, and today Bob Kaper leads an exciting band that still fires up that unique sound.
